Most Pitiful Pokemon

Most Pokemon fanatics have a favorite Pokemon; many also can agree on a cutest Pokemon.  But which Pokemon gains the most sympathy?  Although an odd question, the answer is even more surprising.

Spoink.

Spoink?  Why Spoink?  While this Pokemon may not be your first choice, it easily qualifies when you hear the popular theory concerning Spoink’s spring.

Spoink’s spring is supposedly connected directly to its heart.  Thus, it bounces to pump its blood.  Efficient, right?  Well, when you really think about it… No.  Spoink can’t sleep; if it did, it would die of asphyxiation, when it no longer was bouncing to pump blood.  OK; maybe it just bounces in its sleep, just like a shark swims in its sleep to keep water flowing through its gills.

On the more pitiful side, Spoinks would be fairly easy to kill, in or out of battle.  After all, all it would take is something weighing down on Spoink (or someone keeping it from bouncing); also, if a cruel psychopath were to intend to kill a Spoink, he could pick it up and pump the spring at a hundred miles an hour.  Spoink’s poor heart would explode!

Keep this in mind when considering your favorite Pokemon next time you’re asked.  Even if Spoink isn’t your new favorite due to sympathy, it should at least affect your choice, and your conversation.
